Sailing with kids in Saronik archipelago, departure from Athens Alimos Marina.
Sailing with kids in Saronik offers a captivating experience, promising adventure, relaxation, and a profound connection with nature. For newcomers to the world of sailing, Greece provides an ideal backdrop to embark on this exhilarating journey. Envision yourself gracefully navigating through pristine waters, enveloped by the timeless beauty of the Aegean Sea. The gentle breeze brushes against your skin as you chart a course to discover secluded natural bays, hidden coves, and charming fishing villages.

Late June presents a great time to explore Greece, just before of tourist flood :), long days and pleasantly warm waters—an ideal setting to go sailing with kids and families in a well planned and organized flotilla.
The plan is to set sail from Athens on June 27th and spend either three or six days exploring the Saronik archipelago, including visits to islands like Poros, Hydra, Dhokos, Spetses, Aegina and indulge in extended swimming and culinary explorations.

The most important spots of the route:
Aegina Island: Departure from Alimos Marina around 17.00 and head towards the island of Aegina in a small fisherman village for a great dinner at a fisherman taverna.
Sunday we will be heading towards Hydra where we will stay in a bay at anchor. We will spend the mid day in a natural bay for swimming and lunch. In the evening we will have dinner at a restaurant that was voted on BBC the 2nd best restaurant in the world for the view. Meantime, the one placed 1st has closed 🙂

Monday we will be heading to Spetses Island that offers a blend of elegance and bustling island life: historic houses, stylish waterfront promenades, active marina life, and good dining. Of course every day at noon we will have a swim stop in a natural bay for several hours.

Tuesday will be a special day as we will spend the night at anchor on a deserted island, Dokos. Here is time for night swim as the area is full of plankton that lights in the dark when the water moves.
Wednesday we will go to Ermioni port for the night. It is a nice spot for a evening or morning power walk around the park and back thru the village.
Thursday is Poros day and we will be anchoring in a bay where there is a water park for kids. Also here you can find the best pistachio ice cream you will find in all greece and italy 🙂 You will get directions when we get there.
After more swimming, Friday we will be heading back to Alimos marina in Athens as the fantastic week is coming to a close.
