Sailing in Ibiza and Formentera in mid-September is an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy the beauty of these islands with fewer crowds and pleasant weather. By this time, the peak tourist season has wound down, allowing for a more relaxed and intimate experience at popular anchorages and beaches. The air temperature in mid-September typically ranges from 25°C to 28°C (77°F to 82°F), providing warm and comfortable conditions for sailing and onshore activities. The sea temperature remains inviting, averaging around 25°C (77°F), making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling and other water activities. This time of year combines the best of both worlds: the vibrant ambiance of the Balearics without the overwhelming crowds and delightful weather conditions that enhance the overall sailing experience.

The plan is to depart from Ibiza’s main port (or San Antonio) and visit the famous calas on the west side of the island, including Escondida, Jondal, Es Torrent, Gracioneta, Sa Caleta, Benirras and up to Portinatix (Los Enamorados). Of course, we will also explore the beautiful calas of Formentera.

The itinerary unfolds as follows:

  • Saturday, September 21st: Arrive in Ibiza around noon, transfer to the marina, and board the yacht. Depart for Cala Jondal around 18:00, enjoying a sunset sail and dinner at a local restaurant or onboard.
  • Sunday, September 22nd: Explore the beautiful Jondal in the morning, then sail to a natural bay for lunch and swimming in Formentera. Spend the afternoon and night at anchor here with dinner at a restaurant.
  • Monday, September 23th: Morning exploration of the Cala Ses Illetes followed by sailing to the Escull del Polp Cala, where lunch, afternoon activities, and dinner will be enjoyed in a secluded natural bay.
  • Tuesday, September 24th: After breakfast, sail back to south side of Ibiza to Es Torrent for lunch and after noon. Night at anchor in the bay and restaurant for dinner.
  • Wednesday, September 25th: Sailing west we will get to Cala Escondida and Sunset Ashram for the afternoon and dinner at the restaurant. Spend the night here at anchor.
  • Thursday, September 26th: a Short sail to Cala Benirras and spend the day and night here at anchor. Dinner at a restaurant.
  • Friday, September 27th: Lunch and swimming in Cala Gracioneta before returning to the main port by 18:00. Explore a fine restaurant for dinner and spend the night onboard.
  • Saturday, September 28th: Yachts to be vacated by 09:00, with airport transfers as needed.

Costs:

All catamarans have 4 or 5 double cabins, each cabin with it’s own en suite bathroom. We strongly recommend to gather your friends and book a full catamaran for the best experience, but if this is not easy, no worries, the minimum you can book is a double cabin.
The cost per person in a double cabin starts at 1100 EUR for the standard catamarans (Lagoon 42, Bali 42, Lagoon 450) and ends at 1.500 EUR for the cabins on a comfort catamaran (Lagoon 46, Bali 46, Bali 48, Bali 54, Lagoon 52). Bookings have to be made for a double cabin, bring your friend.

Full standard catamaran Lagoon 42, Bali 42/ 4 double cabins is 9.700 EUR, with 2250 EUR for the front smaller cabins and 2.600 EUR for the stern larger cabins.

Full comfort catamaran Lagoon 46, Bali 44/ 4 double cabins is 10.500 eur.
Full comfort catamaran Bali 46 / 4 double cabins + 1 bunk beds cabin is 11.500 EUR.

Full comfort catamaran Lagoon 50, 52, Bali 48, Bali 54/ 5 large double cabins is 12.000 to 16.500 EUR. Hostess service is mandatory.

The cost above is for chartering the yacht only. Below are all the extra costs for a full catamaran during the week (for cabin bookings the total weekly cost will be divided by the number of the cabins)

  • final cleaning + welcome pack + embarkation marina fee = 1100 EUR,
  • diesel =~500 EUR,
  • skipper = 1600 EUR,
  • hostess = 1500 EUR – hostess service is optional for Standard catamaran and Comfort catamaran Lagoon 46. For bigger Comfort catamarans hostess service is mandatory,
  • food provisioning + water and soft drinks = 1200 EUR,
    Alcohol is not included and has to be purchased separately.
    A security deposit will be needed to be paid at the charter company upon check-in on the yacht. The deposit is refundable. More details will be provided at the time of booking, depending on the yacht type.
